I offer tailored support for psychologists and counsellors who are establishing or strengthening their private practice processes. Drawing on my many years of academic leadership, supervision experience, and practical business knowledge, I help practitioners clarify their service model, streamline administrative systems, and build confidence in the operational side of practice. My focus is on providing grounded, ethical, and sustainable guidance and support for a smooth start, saving endless hours of your personal time. (In person or via video link)
I provide single-session counselling for people who want focused, practical support for a specific concern. Using brief, constructive approaches such as solution-focused and narrative techniques, I help you identify what you want to be different and work with you to create meaningful change. For many people, one session—or a small number—offers the clarity and direction they need. (see link here)
I offer a structured space for practitioners to reflect on their work, reconnect with their values, and explore challenges in thoughtful and supportive ways. My approach is competency-based, reflective, and attuned to issues of power, discourse, and context. While this may include general or de-identified case discussion as a catalyst for the issues being examined, it takes a broader perspective than conventional “supervision for case formulation.” Critical reflective practice supports wellbeing, enhances ethical decision-making, and aligns with emerging requirements around health equity and human rights in diverse practice settings. It also prepares people to be more confident supervisees in their sessions that focus on client management, clinical decisions and case formulation.
I facilitate discussions, workshops, and collaborative processes for teams, groups, and organisations. My role is to create safe and productive environments for communication, learning, and problem-solving. Depending on your needs, facilitation may focus on team culture, service development, groupwork processes, or shared learning goals. I also provide consulting and research support drawing on experience across clinical, academic, and organisational settings.
I have extensive experience teaching, presenting, and conducting research, both nationally and internationally. My professional development sessions blend practical therapeutic skills with current evidence to make complex ideas accessible and usable. Topics commonly include counselling frameworks, working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients, reflective practice, and competency-based approaches. I can also support the development of curricula and assessment for training programs or workshops.
I have worked with Deaf and hard-of-hearing people, their families, and communities for more than two decades. I am committed to accessibility and culturally responsive practice, and always partner with accredited Auslan interpreters to ensure safe and effective communication. I offer counselling, psychology, assessment, and mental health support that reflects the unique experiences of Deaf communities, and I also conduct ADHD assessments for Deaf adults. I have a working proficiency in Auslan and sign language structure and 25 years of lived experience with Ménière’s and bilateral vestibular loss. My work is centred on a deep understanding of allyship principles.
I work with couples and families using collaborative, strengths-focused, and systemic approaches. Together, we explore communication patterns, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My aim is to help you recognise what is working well, understand patterns that no longer serve you, and build more connected and supportive relationships.
I design and facilitate group programs that promote connection, shared learning, and constructive dialogue. Whether I’m working with therapy groups, professional teams, or community organisations, I focus on safety, participation, and meaningful engagement. Sessions are tailored to the needs of your group and may include communication skills, problem-solving, mutual support, or strengthening collaborative practice.
