Medicare Rebates

If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan and a referral from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for 6–10 sessions per calendar year.  The current rebate amount is $98.95 is effective from July 2025. Out-of-pocket costs apply for up to ten sessions per calendar year.  Medicare rebates do not apply to supervision sessions.

Private Health Rebates

Private health fund rebates may be available, depending on your provider and level of cover.  An invoice will be provided for you to submit to your insurer. You cannot claim both Medicare and private health for the same session. Please check your rebate eligibility before booking.

Fee Rationale: What Your Fee Covers

Fees support more than the time spent during your session. They enable me to provide safe, ethical, and professional services by covering necessary practice costs, including:

• Session preparation

• Scoring assessments

• Case notes and correspondence

• Crisis liaison

• Case management and research

• Medicare and NDIS compliance

• Interpreter booking and professional communication

• Professional development and supervision

• Software, insurance, registrations, and practice administration

• Development of therapeutic and educational resources

Financial Notes

Reduced Fees: Reduced fees may be available for Health Care Card holders, people experiencing financial hardship, or those with part-time work. I also offer a limited number of bulk-billed sessions for clients experiencing significant financial hardship. Please contact Louise for details.

Other Pricing: Please contact me for full pricing related to training, site visits, workshops, and travel.

Supervision & Tax: Supervision invoices may be used for tax purposes.

Cancellation Policy

You will receive appointment reminders and a request to confirm your session.
If you need to cancel:

• Less than 48 hours’ notice: Full fee applies

• More than 48 hours’ notice: No charge

Please note, last-minute cancellations are especially difficult when interpreter bookings are required.
